Built by Mercedes-Benz in 1939 as a test track but altered in 2002 to a slightly shorter but safer track, the circuit still retains the original grandstand giving it a unique atmosphere.  

 

An FIA Grade 1 licensed circuit and home to the German F1 Grand Prix for 2016, the circuit is located near the southern German town of Hockenheim, close to the home of German racing legend Michael Schumacher.

 

The circuit is very close to Stuttgart, home to both the Porsche and Mercedes-Benz museums, which are a must-see for any car enthusiast visiting the area.
